Advancing the G7's first SMR

OPG recently marked another milestone for the G7's first SMR with the safe installation of the Marine Intake Structure Centrepiece. Weighing an incredible 950,000 pounds, the 16‑square‑metre concrete structure now sits on the bottom of Lake Ontario above the intake shaft installed last summer – critical pieces that will eventually help bring cooling water to support the G7’s first grid-scale Small Modular Reactor.
